We adopted a local elementary school and brought the first graders out for a field trip the other day. The kids were studying fish and how fins, mouth placement, body shape, and teeth all affect the fish. First graders are cute - but very exhausting. One thing I learned this week - I do not think I could be a first grade teacher.
