#65 - Personalized sandwich

So, if you know me, you know that one of my favorite foods is the sandwich. I order a sandwich the majority of times at a restaurant. I love them. And you may also know that the Cheese Shop in Williamsburg is my favorite place to get sandwiches in the area. Well, the Short Stop runs a close second. First, because their sandwiches are delicious. Second, because they are super close to my house (and they deliver - which I had never taken advantage of until Saturday). Third, b/c my sandwich of choice, named "the Sarah". Yum!

#64 - Personalized advertisements

I just wonder if it's worth the time that they take to put my last name in this advertisement in the revenue that they get back. Do people actually see that ad and since it has their name on it, are more likely to buy something from them? Interesting. Andrea got one too for something irish..mine, hot sauce. Weird.

#63 - Kids

Back to working with kids again! No more just sitting in the office all day. It was great. Sally and I went to one of the local elementary schools b/c one of the student's parents had bought a program at the auction that we were offering. The program was a traveling Discovery Lab, something we normally do in our lab but decided to take it on the road. Very fun - but also tiring since we had 6 groups rotating each class, and three classes - ended up saying the same thing about 18 times. :) But the kids really liked it so that's good.

I have some really cute pictures of the kids working - but probably not a good idea to put pictures of them online so here's a picture of one of the stations.

#62 - Whoops

I forgot to take a picture again yesterday. It was a crazy busy day at work and then I had to get home and read my home inspection and then yeah, just didn't take one. So here's a picture of my my happy place b/c I had to keep thinking about it yesterday so that I could make it through the day.

#61 - Wolf Spider

Went to a Master Naturalist meeting on Tuesday night (I'm a little behind on updating the blog) and at the end of the meeting we had some Advanced Training on a program called "Zoo in my Luggage" which is basically a guy that takes bugs, reptiles, and amphibians around to schools and talks about them. But this was really cool! The wolf spider that he has was carrying its egg sac around and it was HUGE - almost the same size as the spider. Not the greatest picture but at least you can see how big the egg case is in relationship to the spider.
